4. Request and Install the Licensing File

PLEASE RESTART THE MACHINE

Before proceeding to Request and Install a licensing file, it is important that the machine has been restarted after the Software Interface was installed and prior to undertaking these Licensing instructions.

If the machine has not been restarted since installing the Software Interface then please do this now.

The Tigermoth software cannot be used until a Licensing file has been requested, installed and returned. Please complete all three steps below to activate the software.

Request a Licensing File

Click on the Windows Start Button at the bottom left and start the Tigermoth/Licensing app.

If there are no Tigermoth menu entries for some reason click the Windows Search icon at the bottom left and type 'Licensing' and then open the app as shown below.

Once the Licensing app starts, click on the tab at the top-left called Collect Key Status Information. Then click the Collect Information button.

The application will then create a C2V file (Customer-to-Vendor file). Name this file with your full name and today's date and save and email this C2V file to support@tigermoth.com

Apply the Licensing File

A V2C licensing file (Vendor-to-Customer file) will be returned via email once a C2V file has been received. Always save this file to a directory on the local drive (C: drive) of the machine. Do not save and try to apply a V2C file from a network drive - it will generate an error.

Using the same Licensing application as was used to make the original C2V file, click on the tab at the top-right called Apply License Update (Step 1).

Then click on the button to the right of the Update File section and navigate to the V2C file that was saved to the local drive of the machine and click Open to select the file (Step 2).

Then click the button Apply Update to apply the new software license (Step 3).

The Licensing app will normally want to make a second C2V file automatically after a new V2C file has been applied. Please make this second C2V file and save it with your name and today's date. This second C2V file needs to be returned via email to complete the licensing procedure.

If the V2C licensing file is accidentally applied twice then an error will result that says “Update failed: Update was already applied”. Ignore this error. V2C files can only be applied once, and any old V2C files can be deleted as they are no longer of use.

Return the Licensing File

After the successful application of V2C licensing file, a new C2V file should be automatically created. If a new C2V file is not automatically created or was cancelled, then simply create a new C2V file using the Request a Licensing File instructions above.

Please return this second C2V to support@tigermoth.com

RETURN THE LICENSING FILE

IT IS MANDATORY TO MAKE AND RETURN A SECOND C2V. FUTURE SOFTWARE LICENSING AND UPDATING CANNOT BE UNDERTAKEN WITHOUT A SECOND C2V LICENSING FILE BEING RETURNED VIA EMAIL.
