3. Download and Install the Run Time Environment¶
There are a series of components and third-party libraries that the software needs to have installed. These have been bundled into a RunTime Environment (RTE) package for ease of use.
This RTE needs to be installed by a user that has full Administrator rights on the local machine's operating system, including the authority to halt all corporate level anti-virus processes on the local machine while the software installation is undertaken and completed. The RTE package will ask for a local Administrator username and password if installation of the RTE is initiated by a user without the necessary Administrator rights.
DISABLE TREND-MICRO, WEBROOT OR OTHER ANTI-VIRUS SOFTWARE DURING THE RTE INSTALLATION PROCESS
IF YOU ARE RUNNING AGGRESSIVE ANTI-VIRUS PRODUCTS SUCH AS TREND MICRO, WEBROOT OR KASPERSKY THEN THESE NEED TO BE DISABLED BY AN ADMINISTRATOR OF THE LOCAL MACHINE BEFORE PROCEEDING TO INSTALL THE RTE.
IF YOU INSTALL THE RTE WITHOUT COMPLETELY DISABLING THE ANTI-VIRUS PRODUCTS ON THE LOCAL MACHINE THEN YOU MAY NOT BE ABLE TO REQUEST A SOFTWARE LICENSE.
AFTER THE RTE HAS BEEN INSTALLED THE ANTI-VIRUS SOFTWARE CAN BE RESTARTED. THE EASIEST WAY TO DO THIS IS TO REBOOT THE MACHINE.
Download the RTE¶
Download and save the Tigermoth RunTime Environment (RTE) to the local machine's hard drive (for example to C:\Temp or Downloads). Do not save and run the installation file from a network drive or from a Microsoft OneDrive directory. Download the RTE installation file from the following link.
